About Us

AKMON Initiative for Development (AID) is a Board- led “Organization of Civil Society” (OCS) legally registered with registration number 5046. AID is legally recognized by Organizations of Civil Societies Proclamation No.1113/2019 and operate in Oromia and Addis Ababa. The founders, Assistant Professor Teshale and Mrs. Aynalem File were inspired to institute vibrant and energetic Civil Society Organization (CSO) ever rising to transform the life of the disadvantaged people and remote communities.

They have thoughtful ambition to found CSO constituting strong, vibrant, enthusiastic, consistent, honest, transparent and dedicated celebrities, professionals, people and communities coming together and voluntarily invest their commitment for human value and wellbeing.

Assistant professor Teshale and Mrs. Aynalem made firm determination to bring the efforts of all consistent and dedicated likeminded people with excitement and shared commitment come together and primarily contribute their own resources, become exemplary to transform the life of the disadvantaged and remote communities within protected ecosystem. They realized such inspiration can be consistently practical when organized and invest own dedication by linking community and clients wealth to the resources of their colleges, passion of graduates, professors, instructors and students , international and local organizations and donors around the world inspired to transform life.

AID board members constitute celebrities, university presidents, lecturers and professionals with high caliber and outstanding research background, rich practical experience, and holding esteemed positions in government ministries, and top leadership in academic and higher education in Ethiopia
